Alright so the 4th went off okay, the float got 3rd but I can't take all the credit, especially considering I didn't really help at all, these people did all the work

also all the fireworks actually worked for the most part, minus a stick falling from the sky onto people(sorry Sam and Amanda). What I was amazed with is that both of are 4.5" shell made in off the ground, I don't have a before picture but here is what they looked like after they came back down.

as for other things my hand has finally came around for the better as you can see it wasn't looking to good a few weeks ago

I can basically do everything I could before with it, but still does hurt a tad if I squeeze to hard. Well thats all I got

Okay so I got off work early today and since I'm waiting for some black powder from the ball mill I thought I would quit being such a slacker and write something. Alright so I finally started up my new hobby(firework making just encase someone didn't know), I've always had a fascination with things that go boom but especially with the fireworks making end of pyrotechnics. Now some people find this crazy, I guess the idea of someone(or maybe just me) making something that explodes is frightening and should be left to the Chinese. Now I'm not saying it's not but it's no more dangerous then hunting par se, a few wrong moves and your done, or at least missing something. But just like anything if you take the proper safety "techniques" you'll be fine, and it's not like I'll just out here making up how to do stuff, trust me I've done some serious reading. So anyway here is a little video of Shane and me from the few weeks ago, I finally got my Ball Mill made last weekend so I've graduated on from rockets and stupid M-60's we made in the video to Fountains, Stinger missiles, Whistles Rockets, Star Mines, and Artillery Shells. Actually yesterday I launched my first successful mine and artillery shell a few more experiments and I can go into full stale production for the 4th. That will be quite interesting I'm giving myself a 73.5% success rate for the 4th, even if they don't go off though it's still fun to watch them blow up.

So I watched some of Shark's Tale this weekend and I have to say it is really bad, I say some cause we had to turn it off cause it was so bad. Now I know it could have got better but Pixar and their ability to actually know how to write a script has spoiled me. It seems Dreamworks just hires big name actors and hopes that brings in enough of a crowd to make up for the bad reviews they get from the critics. Now maybe it's just me but I seem less and less able these days to watch a crappy movie I just feel I shouldn't have to put up with it. Who are the morons writing these things better yet who are the morons allowing these movie to go forward into production. Has Hollywood run so dry on idea's that they can only redo old ones. I mean think of all the unused movie scripts that could be written, what was the last movie you saw about Construction workers, Glassblowers, or ever Train Conductors. Now name the last time you saw a movie about cops or some Prissy Girl just trying to make it to the top, it was Yesterday wasn't it. I'll I’m saying here is Hollywood needs to try a little harder and not steal from the old but create the new. OSX

Alright it has been almost a week now with the Mac and experiencing the power and Glory that is OSX. First I have to say OSX is amazing, I truly believe Steve Jobs was right when he claimed OSX to be the greatest operating system ever. Everything is just simpler to change than it is in Windows and has more options also, take for example how I can just drag&Drop in a new user picture something not possible in Windows. Another great thing is integrated PDF file support, which means not only does it read PDF files it can make them also, with zero effort might I add, just click a button and BOOM, instant PDF file. There is also this little thing called iLife that comes with it, I can honestly say that is almost worth the $500 in itself . The GarageBand Band program is by far the coolest but both iMovie and iDvd are fine programs as well. As of right now I'm basically just learning the OS and Trying to figure out which browser to use there are just to many to choose from. I'm thinking though that Opera is going to be my Browser of choice, I don't really like Camino or Safari and firefox feels kind of Slow but Opera is just plain out fast and I like the Features, who knows though I could change. So that's my opinion thust far I haven't even began to Play with the Unix side of Things. Okay that is all

Alright I know it's been a week but I mean I'm be doin' other stuff. Okay not really I'm just lazy, I did get my plane started as you can see. I kinda came to a halt though cause I ran out of paint, so I have to wait for my dad's paint order to come in later this week.

So went to see Jay this weekend, Jay Owenhouse that is, you no that Magician that puts on the show that critics call "?spectacular and beyond belief."? Old Jay did the standard tricks, going through fan, making it snow, you know real standard stuff. The only trick that always gets me is the tearing the newspaper into pieces and magically putting it back together. It's amazing don't get how he does it, mirror's it's just got to be mirror's thats the only anwser I can think of, that or magic which is real by the way. You know who killed Kennedy right, Lee Harvey Oswald, cause he had a magic bullet which he bought from Hitler. Hitler got it from is best friend Umar who lived at Atlantis at the time cause his summer home was being remodeled. Yep, that's how it all went down, ask anyone.

So riding home with Scott a few days ago he was complaining about how if cows didn't taste so good they would have no purpose on this earth. Now this made me think, how come you never hear about "Wild Cows" like they don't have a owner or anything there just out there doing there thing with out fear of being eaten. Just think about the premise of this, if we didn't eat them would they even be here or would they have gone the way of the dodo bird. When you think about it maybe that's why the dodo was killed to extinction, it just did taste good. Maybe it fed off the feces of other animals so it literally did taste like crap.

I mean look at that thing I could really see it out there in a field following around pigs and eating there droppings, it just looks like it was made for such a thing. So what would happen to cows if they didn't taste good would they be extinct or would they be wild and we would be taking pictures of these things as if they where moose or bald eagles stopping on the road whenever we are lucky enough to see one just for we can get a snap shot of them. Anyways just something I was pondering, now on something of a totally different topic here's this interesting thing I found last night that shows the difference between DVD quality and HD quality video, I found it kinda interesting don't know if it's entirely a true comparison but it convinced me. That is All

Oh I totally did the greatest thing ever. We are watching this scary movie called the Grudge, and all the lights and everything was off in the house. So like my RAM for my mac came today but with no mac to put it in there is nothing to do with this $200 stick of memory. One may ask "Steven how about using it as a comb for the time being", now as great as that idea may seem RAM, like most electronics, doesn't like static to much so that opition is out. Well since I could think of nothing else to do with it I did the only logical thing and put it in my safe where it will stay probably for the next 2-4 weeks or however long my mac is backordered. Anyway on a different note I was watching the screen savers today for a short bit and they where talking to the people behind this one website called http://www.channel101.com/index.php. Now the whole premise of this site is you submit a TV show and if a panel of people like it it goes into primetime on the website. So it was a big day today I really accomplished a lot. First I clean my whole truck outside and inside cause It was like 70F today. I did make my battery go dead though cause I had my radio going the whole time I was cleaning so had to charge that, and plus some water like leaked into my carb so it's running a little funny. Spring Cleaning, In January?

Alright so we like took all this stuff out of boxes last night that has been packed up for like 10 years now. But That was a lot to get done in one day so all we accomplished was actually unpacking the boxes, no cleaning up or anything was done. Anyway so here is what the upstairs looks like now

Well in my old age I have grown less and less aware of the height of people, me being only 5-7" it is natural that most people are taller then me. The only time I really notice a persons height is if they are really tall or just shorter than me. That's the real big one, people shorter then me, cause I just don't see very many guys at least that are shorter than me. Common Beer, You Use To Be So Cool

Okay so I've been thinking since I read that news article yesterday about beer having a bad rap. So I've got a plan to resolve all this and get the beer industry back on track. The problem with beer is that it is to cheap and has just become associated with the hobos way of life. The reason for this is clearly OVERPRODUCTION which forces prices down. Now from time to time this actually happens in the diary industry and the government buys the surplus to keep the prices from dropping. Well this same simple principle could be applied to beer, that's right instead of government cheese it's government beer. Okay I know the government won't just give away beer so here's what to do, they can simply extract the Alcohol from the beer itself and here's the kicker give it away free to all people who drive Alcohol powered cars. With Beer cost high hobos can know longer afford it and it becomes a privilege for the rich once again. As you can see I'm clearly on to something, this could almost work I'm tell you just think about it for a while, it'll grow on you. There's A New Mac In Town

Well Steve Job's did bringith that Sub $500 mac today and it looks like I have something to spend my next paycheck on.

It's called the Mac mini, it'd basically just an iBook with out a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Still the things pretty cool I'm so ordering one, actually pre-ordering cause it doesn't even come out tell the 22nd. I know I should wait for at least the reviews to come out on it but I figure that even if it does crap out on me I'll just send it in and get it repaired. The only real thing that is holding me back is the fact that apple is releasing it's new OS(operating system) called Tiger in like march or something and I don't want to pay for the upgrade. We'll see what I do though I should really just sleep on it a few more days I just got all excited cause today was the products announcement. Anyway that is about the only thing thats been on my mind all day, well that and this article I read Click Me. Actually I just found that acticle but still is this something I should really be worried about? Anywho, the night is well, dark and I must retire to my bed

MacWorld Tomorrow, How Exciting

So you know what tomorrow is, that's right it's MacWorld the time of year when Apple shows you what they will be releasing and what they hope to conjure up in the future. This year the big things that are supposed to be announced are a sub $500 monitorless Mac, a flash based iPod, and new MacOffice software. Steve Jobs will be giving the keynote speech at 9:00 AM tomorrow morning, where well see if these so called rumors are actually true. I think it's going to be something really big though considering the speech will not be released until 6:00PM and there will be no media reporting aloud until after the speech. I'm pretty excited and I don't even own a Mac. On a lighter note do to the huge popularity of the Davey scratching off a lottery ticket video I've released another cinematic classic. It's just me dancing with the Popcorn song playing in the background but still amusing. Please excuse the poor editing I only spent like five minutes on it, I just basically cropped out all the video and put a random transition between each, here's the link.

Alright tomorrows Friday I'm so excited, plus Scott has like to go to the doctor in bozo so we don't have to work very long either, double plus bonus. I also got my new external hard drive today and all the cables to go with it for I can finally get that film off my camcorder. Did you know that those little miniDV tapes that go in the camcorder are like over 10GB in size. It's out of control I should be able to fill my hard drive in know time, it's a Seatgate 200GB 7,200rpm with a 8mb cache by the way. I do wonder if it will be fast enough to edit film if I go over the external hard drive, I mean it is a firewire plug I think that would be fast enough, trial and error I guess. Sweet so I finally got to use my new sandwich maker cause I ate at home for lunch. The best part about it is the fact instead of draining the fat, it lets the food cook in it, which by the way is awesome. I don't get the deal with all this low fat crap these days anyway, I mean natural disasters alone can't control the earths population we need poor health to at least try to maintain some sort to homeostasis with the planet. It seems that your just preserving yourself by eating these low-fat, low-Cal type foods anyway. No part shall I have in such things, I mean look at Homer Simpson he has been eating hearty meals for 16 years now and he still looks great. Just remember if your unsure weather or not to eat something, just rub it on a napkin and if you can see through it your clear.

So I've been using this Program called Konfabulator for a week now, It's pretty cool. Here is what my desktop looks like now.

I got like the battery thing and the whether thing so I always know what I'm not missing not being outside. I don't now I like it, It was originally just for the Mac but it's been cross platformed so it's also for windows now. So Christmas has come and gone once again and a new year is almost upon us. It had never really occurred to me until a few weeks ago when Davey told me that Christmas and New Years are always on the same day, I guess I just really never though about it. I was always to concerned about how many days we got off school that something as simple as that has always just slipped my mind. Anyway, so what did everyone out there get for Christmas, Tawsha and me finally got our long awaited camcorder that has been on our Christmas list for like 4 years. I had to order some special cords so I could dump the video on my laptop for editing, so I wont be posting any great movies that me and tawsha are making for a few weeks. Alright it's Monday again last week went by so slow I thought it would never end, but it finally did. So I came through for the band again on Saturday, man I just don't know what they would do without me. Actually they would probably sound about the same they would be a little less low brassy sounding, yeah that's it low brassy. So in Bozo yesterday we went to Target and they had this 4 piece Walkie-Talkie kit for like $35 so I bought them for the family. We like used them in Costco and the Mall for we could save time not having to find one another. People would look at you funny though cause there would be this voice saying "Hoser you there" coming from your pants. What you goin' do though, just think of the story those people will have to tell for future generations. "There I was, in a mall and this guy's privates kept calling me a Hoser", "What did you do about it Daddy", "Well son I was about to kick the guy in the crotch but he pulled this thing out of his pants before I got a chance, it looked like a phaser so I ran away". Hummm, so you know feel free to tell that one to the kids one day. Anywho, lets all try to have a good week despite the general lack of snow.

PEPSI WON, I would have been a little worried if Coke did. Alright so like a few days ago I was working at the job site and it's snowing and everything and the roofers are there roofing of course. The Wind was terrible so it was freezing and me and Scott couldn't figure out how they do it, I mean there's like 3 inches of snow on the roof and it's cold what's the motivation. Well I was pondering this all day then at lunch time I go into the garage and the roofers are in there eating and I see one of them open his lunch box. There it was the answer to all my question, behold half the lunch box was filled with, yes that's right, SMARTIES and ADVIL. I couldn't believe it, the talc in the smarties must have some special reaction with the Advil, well that's my story. Spread it and be happy

My new pants came today, I'm all about them there lined with fleece for I stay all toasty warm. I also got my iTrip for my iPod, it sends the iPod music over FM waves so I can pick it up on the radio, the things awesome. So it's another craptaculaur evening of TV, I remember when TV use to be good on Thursdays but now it just sucks. Back when Family Guy and Scrubs was on and ER and Will & Grace were in there glory days those were the days. The only show I find watching on a regular bases on Thursdays these days is The Apprentice, which doesn't even bring me real pleasure cause it's reality TV crap. Cruise

Well I decided I want to go on a cruise today, not a normal cruise though. I want to go on one of those geek cruises, I'm thinking a photoshop or Mac cruise. I'm going to have to buy a mac if I want to go on the mac cruise though. I can get a powerbook for around $1,600 or a ibook for around $1000 but I think I would want the extra power of the powerbook though. I don't know If I want to get started in the mac world with a G5 or a powerbook though. I mean their both nice machines, I guess it will be a way long while before that happens anyway. By that time apple will have the G6 out probaly and maybe a G5 laptop actually probaly just a higher clocked G4, there really having problems with the heat dissipation of those G5 chips. They had to krank down the clock speed and frontside bus just to deal with the heat issues of the new G5 iMacs. I want to go on a Mac cruise that Leo Laporte is going to be on and he only does one a year so it might be a while for me. Okay thats all I have to say about that then so bye

Went to The Incredibles movie last night, it was pretty good, I give it 8 out of 10 Elf cookies. It takes a pretty good movie to get higher then 8 elf cookies only movies like The Big Lebowski or Monty Python and the Holy Grail make it that high. It was lot better than that Shark's Tale crap dreamworks put out in October I would bet anyhow. So I bought Myself a new Xbox game It's called Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, it doesn't get here tell next week though. All I know about it is you fly around in a plane, but it got a lot of good reviews. X-play gave it a good review and that's all I need. Anyway, Got all the stuff for Thanksgiving yesterday so I'm ready to bake. Just went with the 17 pound turkey this year, last years was like a 22 pounder and got a little dry cause of how long it took to cook. I think I might make my pie tonight, I hate Pumpkin so I'm making an Apple Pie and Tawsha's making the pumpkin pie. I only make the stuff I like, so therefore Tawsha has to make the Green Bean casserole. Well Colin Powell is officially resigning after the end of Bush's first term and Condoleezza Rice is replacing him. It's really going to be interesting to see how foreign policy changes as soon as Powell leaves. I'm not knocking Rice or anything I just really like Powell and thought he was the only reasonable voice of this administration, who knows how many more wars Bush will start now. So this weekend I went to the big football movie "Friday Night Lights" but me not being a big football fan I found it not that great. Well were like almost all done up at south meadow creek, just like another day or so.
